How to download an ANZ statement
In Internet Banking
- Log in and select your account.
- Click View statements on the left and choose the account from the dropdown.
- Click Download to open the statement, then download or print it from your browser.
In the ANZ App
- Select your account and tap Statements.
- Tap a statement, then the share icon at the top right to download or print.
For closed accounts, tap More, then View statements; closed accounts appear at the bottom of the list. If a statement is too large for the app, ANZ suggests downloading it in Internet Banking.
In ANZ Plus
Go to the Profile icon and tap Statements. ANZ Plus Everyday and saver accounts get a statement every month.
Things to know about ANZ statements
- Six-monthly by default. Most ANZ accounts get a statement every six months, so one PDF can hold half a year of transactions.
- Seven years online, building up from when the account was opened (with separate rules for accounts opened before 9 December 2013).
- Closing your last account closes the archive. You lose access to historical online statements once every linked account is closed.
- Gaps between statements: a Transaction Report covers the last 30, 60, 90 or 120 days.
ANZ's transaction download
In Internet Banking, select the account, click Download at the top of the Transactions tab, pick the time period and a software package option, then Download. It covers up to the last two years, for open accounts only, and 90 days for V2 Plus accounts. Business customers can download to Quicken, Microsoft Money, MYOB, Agrimaster, Phoenix or CSV.
For anything older, closed accounts, or a client's PDFs, convert the statements instead.
Converting an ANZ PDF statement
- Upload one or more ANZ PDF statements. Batch upload handles a year of statements at once.
- Pick the output: Excel, CSV, JSON, Xero CSV, or QuickBooks 3- or 4-column CSV.
- Download one transaction per row, with date, description, amounts and balance in separate columns.
ANZ statements show both a processed date and a transaction date; dates stay day-first and amounts stay in Australian dollars.
Getting ANZ data into Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB
- Xero: choose Xero CSV and import it as a bank statement for the matching account.
- QuickBooks: choose the 3- or 4-column CSV and upload it from file.
- MYOB: MYOB Business imports statements as QIF or OFX, which AI Bank Statement doesn't produce; ANZ's MYOB bank feed or business download covers MYOB.
ANZ bank feeds can pull in up to two years of history, but only when you first set them up. For anything earlier, convert the statements. ANZ credit card statements convert with the credit card statement converter.
