How to download CommBank statements
In the new NetBank
- From the NetBank Home page, select the account.
- Select Download latest statement, or View all statements to find a specific one.
- Choose the financial year.
- Tick the statements you want, or Select all for the whole year.
- Select Download (PDF).
Statements are organised by financial year, which suits tax time.
In the CommBank app
- Tap Accounts and choose an account.
- Tap Manage, then View statement.
- Choose the statement date and tap Download.
If you need a statement now, NetBank lets you order one early, and it's ready online within two business days.
What changed with exports in 2026
The new NetBank removed OFX and QIF transaction exports; CSV is the only export format left. If you used to export QIF or OFX for accounting software, you now need a CSV, a bank feed, or the statements themselves.
Other limits to know:
- The transactions page shows up to 2 years. Beyond that, CommBank points you to your statements, which go back 7 years.
- CommBiz exports up to 25 months of transaction history. For older transactions, CommBank says to refer to your statements.
- Paper copies cost $2.50 each, while online statements are free.
Converting a CommBank PDF statement
- Upload your CommBank PDFs, including a financial year downloaded with Select all. Batch upload handles a year of monthly statements at once.
- Pick the output: Excel, CSV, JSON, Xero CSV, or QuickBooks 3- or 4-column CSV.
- Download one transaction per row, with date, description, amounts and balance in separate columns.
Dates stay day-first and amounts stay in Australian dollars.
Getting CommBank data into Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB
- Xero: choose Xero CSV and import it as a bank statement. CommBank also offers Xero bank feeds from NetBank (Settings โบ Access & Feeds), which cover transactions from when they're connected.
- QuickBooks: choose the 3- or 4-column CSV and upload it from file. CommBank says QuickBooks bank feeds are no longer available to new customers, because QuickBooks now connects through Open Banking.
- MYOB: MYOB Business imports statements as QIF or OFX, which AI Bank Statement doesn't produce. Use CommBank's MYOB bank feed instead.
CommBank credit card statements convert with the credit card statement converter.
