How to download a TD PDF statement
In EasyWeb
- Select your name at the top of the screen, then Statements and Documents.
- Choose the account in the Get statements & documents by account dropdown.
- Pick the year in Filter by year and select a statement. It opens as a PDF.
- Select the save icon or download arrow to keep a copy.
In the TD app
- Select My Accounts, then the account.
- Open the Details tab and select All Statements.
- Select the statement period. For credit accounts, tap Download.
TD keeps up to 7 years of statements online, but only from the time you switched to online statements. Earlier ones don't appear.
TD's transaction download and its limits
In EasyWeb you can download transactions as a spreadsheet (CSV), or for Quicken, QuickBooks or Simply Accounting, at no extra charge. The catch: the download covers activity since your last download, to a maximum of the last 45 days.
That's fine for keeping a bookkeeping file up to date every month. It doesn't help when you need:
- Last year's transactions, for taxes, a year-end or a catch-up.
- A full statement period with its opening and closing balances.
- A client's records, when all you have are the PDF statements they sent.
Ordering a paper copy of an older statement costs $15 per item on TD's main chequing accounts, so the PDFs already in EasyWeb are the practical source.
Converting a TD PDF statement
- Upload one or more TD PDF statements. Batch upload handles a year of monthly statements at once.
- Pick the output: Excel, CSV, JSON, Xero CSV, or QuickBooks 3- or 4-column CSV.
- Download one transaction per row, with date, description, withdrawals, deposits and balance in separate columns.
Amounts stay in dollars, and dates are read the way the statement prints them and written out consistently, so check that your accounting software's import date setting matches.
Getting TD data into QuickBooks or Xero
- QuickBooks: choose the 3- or 4-column CSV and upload it from file. QuickBooks Online Canada accepts up to 1,000 lines per upload, so split a long history into several files.
- Xero: choose Xero CSV and import it as a bank statement for the matching account.
TD credit card statements convert the same way with the credit card statement converter.
